General Manager – Process & Engineering, MEI, Downer
Jess is a Geology graduate of the University of Western Australia. As General Manager of Process and Engineering within Downer’s Mining, Energy and Industrial (MEI) division, Jess manages a global portfolio of industry leading businesses including Mineral Technologies, QCC Resources and Snowden. Jess brings over 15 years international experience in the mining, oil and gas industries. Passionate about harnessing innovation to improve outcomes for customers, Jess is utilising her strong research, technical and commercialisation expertise to lead the Process and Engineering businesses globally.
Alex de Andrade
Global Manager – Sales, Equipment & Technology
Alex de Andrade is a Mechanical Engineer graduate of the University of Johannesburg and assists as an Associate Professor at UTS in the field of additive manufacturing. Alex has over 20 years extensive experience in LEAN operations management and has held senior roles with leading original equipment manufacturers including Joy Global and Multotec as well as Engineering Manager with DRA, a large project EPC/M. Alex also has a strong project management and construction background. Joining Mineral Technologies in 2013 Alex is responsible for the equipment supply chain from R&D, design, manufacturing, commissioning and customer service. Alex also oversees multiple global production facilities and leads customer sales, service and support delivery worldwide.
Global Manager – Strategic Project Business Development
Tom Lawson is a Mechanical Engineer graduate of Central Queensland University, Australia. Tom’s initial work in the Research and Development of Natural Gas Transport engines and refueling systems was followed by joining Mineral Technologies in 1995 as an R&D Engineer developing mineral separation equipment including the MG6 series of spirals. Tom went on to manage Mineral Technologies South African operations for 4 years and has since held senior leadership positions including Operations, Engineering, Production, Service and Marketing. In his current role, Tom brings over 22 years of experience with Mineral Technologies to lead teams in delivering strategic solutions for customers worldwide.
Global Manager – Metallurgy
Craig is a Metallurgical Engineer graduate of the University of South Australia. He has been actively involved with the mining and mineral processing industries for over 25 years, and has worked with Mineral Technologies for the majority of his career in the fields of metallurgical testing, process and plant design. Craig has specialist process design expertise in mineral sands, iron ore, tin and tantalum ore plants. Craig manages a global team of Metallurgists and is based at Mineral Technologies metallurgical testing laboratory at the head office in Carrara, Queensland.
