Careers Expo – Pacific Pines State High School

Keen to share knowledge about mineral processing and potential careers in the industry, Regional Sales Manager for Australia and Europe Dale Henderson attended the recent Careers Expo at local Pacific Pines State High School in Queensland.

Students from years 9 to 12 attended the expo.

“Helping young students understand the global opportunities that mineral processing provides is always enjoyable. I hope that our conversations at the expo will help students as they consider career options”, said Dale.

With a passion for sharing knowledge Dale also attends the annual Careers Expo at All Saints College on the Gold Coast where he is often engaged in specific discussions with students aspiring to careers in engineering.

Graduate program

At university level, Mineral Technologies participates in the Downer Graduate Program which provides university students with exposure to the Downer business via structured rotations, networking and mentoring opportunities, and much more.

General Manager, Alex de Andrade, said The Downer Graduate Program has resulted in several graduates joining Mineral Technologies on completion of the program.

“Through participating in graduate programs and careers expos we expand our reach to talented students and potential employees. This helps MT to not only share information about our business, but also attracts exceptional talent”, said Alex.
